About the event

My Friend, Selkie is a heart-warming story of friendship and finding courage to face challenges. With simple text and movement by two dancers, Selkie and Jo and live music composed and played by Quee, the show includes parts to join in - help to find Selkie’s coat, join in with the Crab Disco and try out the moves of Selkie’s sea pals!

Jo wants to learn to swim so she can go on her Dad’s boat with him. Selkie is learning about the stars so she won’t forget how to get home. Can Jo and Selkie help each other?

My Friend Selkie is a Work in Progress and was recently trialled with Aberdeen Nursery Schools.

"The children were very excited and enjoyed the performance. This is the first time that they have experienced something like this in school and so I’m sure they will have memories for years to come!"

"Children who joined in with activities spoke about it & were proud they got up and joined in."

"Really engaging, lovely to hear live music and an unusual performance – I had no idea what to expect!"

My Friend, Selkie is perfect for family audiences of young children and includes plenty for older siblings to enjoy too.
